Reviewed by Nina Moreno • Last verified: 2 October 2026. Casino Mate is still online, but not for Australians. The casino stopped taking Australian players in September 2017, when changes to the Interactive Gambling Act came into force, and nothing we found on 2 October 2026 suggests that has changed. The official site, casino-mate.com, restricts access by region and would not load from a Sydney IP when we checked. That matters because about 9,900 Australians a month still search for the name, and some of what they find are lookalike sites with no confirmed link to the operator. This page explains what happened, what the login situation is, and what to do about an old account.
18+ only. Offshore casinos are not licensed to serve Australians under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and no local regulator will hear a dispute. If gambling stops being fun, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au.

What Happened to Casino Mate
Casino Mate was built for Australians. The name, the branding and the AUD banking were all aimed at this market. Casino.guru dates the casino to 2011 and names its current owner as Jacked Affiliates Ltd, while older reviews tie the brand to Vegas Partner Lounge.
The Australian chapter ended in September 2017. Amendments to the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 took effect that month and made it an offence to offer online casino games to people in Australia without a local licence, and no such licence exists for pokies. BlackJack Australia’s review carries a note that Australians could no longer play at Casino Mate from September 2017. Casinority’s review says the same thing in plainer terms: players from Australia are not allowed to gamble there for real money.
The casino itself did not close. Casino.guru’s 2026 listing shows withdrawal limits of 10,000 a week and 40,000 a month in euros, Canadian dollars and New Zealand dollars, with no Australian dollar entry. Casino Mate does not appear on ACMA’s investigations page either, which fits an operator that withdrew from Australia instead of being blocked.

Casino Mate Login: What Still Works
The operator’s address is casino-mate.com, with a hyphen. On 2 October 2026 it answered our checks from outside Australia with an access-denied page stating that the owner restricts that region, and it failed to load at all from a Sydney IP. We could not reach a login form from Australia, and we found no evidence that new Australian sign-ups are accepted.
Roughly 1,600 Australians a month still search for the Casino Mate login. Some hold accounts from before 2017. Others land on lookalike domains that borrow the name with an extra letter or an “aus” suffix and present their own login pages. One such domain has its own Trustpilot listing. We could not connect any of them to the operator. Do not enter a password, card number or ID document on a site whose address is not exactly the hyphenated .com.
A VPN is not a workaround. Setting your location to New Zealand or Canada to get through the door gives an offshore casino a ready reason to void winnings, because your account country and your real location will not match at verification.
If You Still Have a Balance
An old Casino Mate balance is worth chasing only through official channels. Email support from the address registered on the account, give your username, and ask for the balance to be paid to a bank account in your own name. Expect a KYC request for photo ID, proof of address and proof of the payment method.
Keep expectations modest. Offshore casino terms commonly allow dormant accounts to be charged fees or closed after long inactivity, and we could not read Casino Mate’s current terms from Australia to confirm its rule. There is no Australian regulator to escalate to. If support does not respond, casino.guru runs a free complaints service; the Casino Mate cases logged there include a delayed withdrawal and a dispute over bonus policy.
Safer Places to Play Instead
First, the legal position. No online casino is licensed to offer pokies in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it illegal for operators to do so, and ACMA has ISPs block the offshore sites that persist. That applies to every alternative, including the ones we review. The practical differences between them are how much they disclose and how they pay.
If Casino Mate appealed because it felt local, look for operators that name their licence, list AUD banking and state their withdrawal times. Our SkyCrown review and Ozwin review are the two reference write-ups we keep current. For bank-transfer deposits there is the PayID casino shortlist, for small starts the low deposit casinos page, and the casino bonuses index shows wagering beside each offer. If you only want the games, our free demo pokies need no account at all.
Verdict
Casino Mate is a live casino that Australians cannot use. The brand left this market in September 2017, and nothing we found on 2 October 2026 points to a return. Anyone advertising a Casino Mate bonus to Australians today is either out of date or sending you somewhere else. Treat login pages on lookalike domains as a risk, pursue any old balance by email, and pick a current operator on its published terms. We have not given Casino Mate a rating because there is nothing here for an Australian player to rate. The legal background is in our guide to online gambling laws in Australia.
