Cancer this week
This week: 25 Oct to 31 Oct 2026
A home-focused week, with the Moon back in your sign
The Sun and retrograde Mercury both sit in Scorpio, in your 5th house of fun and play. Mercury stations retrograde on Saturday evening and turns direct on 14 November, so plans for leisure, hobbies and anything involving kids can shift at short notice. Build in slack and confirm the details twice.
Venus slips back into Libra on Sunday night, in your 4th house of home, which suits redecorating, cooking for the family and a long overdue clear-out. Mars and Jupiter in Leo occupy your 2nd house of values, while Saturn, retrograde in Aries, is in your 10th house of career, asking you to rethink how much effort you give to work.
The week’s rhythm is clear. Sunday is a Rest day, with the Moon in Aries squaring your sign. Monday and Tuesday are Play around the full moon in Taurus on Monday at 3:12 pm. Wednesday is Rest, Thursday and Friday are Light play, and Saturday brings the Moon home to Cancer for a Play day.

About Cancer
Cancer is the sign of the crab, and it is traditionally linked to home and the care of others. Ruled by the Moon, the quickest-moving body in the sky, Cancer is said to shift mood with the tides, and to feel things deeply even when it says little.
People born under the sign are often described as nurturing and protective. They remember family birthdays, send the text to check you got home safely, and keep the good tea for guests. The hard shell of the crab is the tradition’s way of explaining why Cancers can seem guarded until they trust you.
As a cardinal water sign, Cancer starts things through feeling rather than force. The tradition says the sign prizes security, and can cling to the familiar a bit too long. Treat all this as a friendly lens for thinking about yourself, not a scientific description. Plenty of Cancers will tell you they just like a good soup.
Cancer lucky numbers
Each week we pick three numbers per sign from the sign and the dates, only for fun. This week’s Cancer numbers are 9, 23 and 39, and they have no predictive value. Consider them a conversation starter. If a number means something to you, such as a birthday or a house number, that is a better reason to like it than anything in the sky.
In numerology folklore, 2 is traditionally tied to Cancer through the Moon, the body of rhythm and pairs. Our lucky numbers guide explains the method. Pokies run on a random number generator, so no number, sign or Moon phase can influence a result.
Cancer’s Pokie Sign: The Cosy Collector
Cancer tends to enjoy games with a familiar, comforting feel: friendly characters, water or nature themes and a relaxed pace. In free demo mode, pick something calm that you could happily leave running while you chat.
The budget habit that fits is a plan with a built-in finish line. Cancers can get attached to a game and stay longer than intended. Decide a time limit and spending limit before you begin, and check in with how you feel. The demos below are free, so there is no pressure. Close the tab when the time is up and put the kettle on instead.
- Big Bass Splash: A relaxed fishing theme with a gentle, familiar pace.
- Big Bass Bonanza: Calm water setting with the comfort of a well-known favourite.
- Sun of Egypt: Warm, nostalgic visuals suit a sign that loves history.
Free demo mode: play money only, no sign-up, nothing to deposit.
Who Cancer gets on with
Astrologers traditionally pair Cancer with the other water signs, Scorpio and Pisces, for emotional depth and quiet understanding. The earth signs, Taurus and Virgo, are also said to be a comfortable fit, offering the steadiness that Cancer values. Capricorn, the opposite sign, brings contrast and a lot to learn from each other.
